Does it Work?
Does the Now Ashwagandha Extract Work?
I’ve been taking this supplement on and off for a few weeks. It definitely calms me down, although if I take it in the morning I feel a bit groggy throughout the day. Some have mentioned ashwagandha makes them more alert and focused, but that hasn’t been my experience with this supplement. I find it the most useful to take before bed. I get better sleep and tend to feel more refreshed the following day.– Jennifer
My integrative medicine rheumatologist recommended this supplement to me in July to deal with my fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Within a few weeks of beginning to take one a day I noticed that my legs were stronger, my pain was reduced, and I was able to be up mid-morning rather than afternoon. For the first time in twenty years I am able to do a little putzing in the garden, and do simple food preparation.– S.E Regan
This brand caused stomach pain and intestinal issues along with being sleepy during the day. I have used another brand before and didn’t have this negative effect. I usually like NOW products, but not this one.– Debi
This made me so sick. I took it for a day or two, and then was up all night with fevers and nausea. I stopped taking it. Then, thinking that maybe it was a fluke, I tried again some weeks later, and the same thing happened. This might be great for some, but it does not agree with me. I think alcohol might have been a factor, because the first time this made me sick, I had gone out to a champagne brunch, and the second time, I had a glass of red wine with dinner.– Smart Shopper
